Employee fraud

A manager of a medical supplies company has been charged with stealing in excess of $1.2 million by creating fraudulent invoices and arranging for same to be paid into his bank accounts.

Company issued credit cards were also used to pay invoices rendered by companies which he had established.

This is a clear case of business internal controls not being applied and trusted employees in essential positions taking advantage of this situation.

Polemic Forensic have conducted a number of fraud investigations involving employees whom have stolen funds from their employer.

Situations include where the payroll officer has created fictional employees and paid their wages direct into their own bank account.
